Advocacy & Impact

Consumer Rights • Animal Welfare • Community Advocacy

My voice doesn’t end with music.

Music gives me a way to tell stories, but advocacy gives me another way to use my voice.

Through my professional experience, personal experiences and creative platform, I advocate for issues affecting people, families and animals. I believe meaningful change often begins when an ordinary person is willing to stand up and say, “This can be better.”

My advocacy currently includes two citizen-drafted proposals: the Consumer Credit Bill of Rights Act and the Max Perez Animal Care Protection Act.

Consumer Credit Bill of Rights Act

Fairness • Transparency • Accountability • A Chance to Rebuild

The Consumer Credit Bill of Rights Act is a citizen-drafted consumer protection proposal created to address problems within the credit reporting and debt collection system.

The proposal calls for stronger standards surrounding accurate and verifiable reporting, debt re-aging, documentation, dispute resolution, accountability and a meaningful pathway toward financial recovery. My belief is simple: consumers should be held responsible for legitimate obligations, but the systems judging their financial lives should also be held responsible for accuracy and fairness.

The petition calls upon lawmakers to review and introduce the proposal, strengthen enforcement of existing consumer protections and modernize the credit reporting system.

CALL TO ACTION

Help us advocate for a credit system that is accurate, transparent and accountable.

If you believe consumers deserve the right to accurate information, meaningful dispute resolution and a genuine opportunity to rebuild, please read the proposal, sign the petition and share it with others.

Every signature adds another voice asking lawmakers to take consumer credit reform seriously.

🐾 The Max Perez Animal Care Protection Act

For Max • For Companion Animals • For the Families Who Love Them

The Max Perez Animal Care Protection Act grew from something deeply personal: losing Max.

That experience raised difficult questions about the information families receive while making medical decisions for an animal they love & whether stronger protections could help another family facing those same decisions.

The Max Perez Animal Care Protection Act is a citizen-drafted animal-welfare proposal advocating for stronger protections surrounding veterinary transparency, communication, coordinated care, prognosis disclosure, medication safety, informed decision-making and end-of-life care.

At its heart is a simple principle:

Families deserve the information necessary to make informed and compassionate decisions for the animals who depend on them.

This isn't about attacking veterinary professionals. It's about encouraging standards that strengthen communication, accountability and trust between veterinary providers and the families placing beloved animals in their care.

CALL TO ACTION

Help us turn Max’s story into change. 🐾

If you believe companion animals deserve strong protections & families deserve transparency and the ability to make informed decisions about their care—please read the proposal, sign the petition and share Max’s story.

A signature may seem like a small act.

But thousands of small acts can become a voice lawmakers cannot ignore.

ONE VOICE. DIFFERENT FORMS OF ADVOCACY.

I write music about survival, identity, rebuilding and finding your voice because I believe our experiences can become something larger than ourselves.

That same belief drives my advocacy.

Whether I am speaking about consumer fairness, animal welfare, domestic violence, abuse, racism or discrimination including discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community the message underneath my work remains the same:

You are not alone. Your voice matters. Your story is not over yet.

“I bend. I break. I fall. I rise.”

Mi Voz. Mi Vida. Mi Valor.
